The Space Science Center (SPSC) on CU Boulder's East Campus (view SPSC map) is the largest facility and is divided into two separate data centers:
- Room N180 is the primary campus data center and uses evaporative cooling. It consists of 79 racks containing 52 rack units each.
- Room N190 contains 30 racks with 45 rack units each and uses a glycol closed-loop cooling system. This room is due to be retired in the near future.
The Computing Center (COMP) is also located on East Campus (view COMP map) and has 58 racks containing 42 or 45 rack units each. It has a glycol closed-loop cooling system.
The High-Performance Computing Facility (HPCF) is a stand-alone container used solely by CU's Research Computing group. It has a centrifugal cooling system and UPS, but no generator backup.
The newest facility is located on CU's Anschutz campus in Aurora, where CU Boulder has secured six racks in a newly constructed data center in the Anschutz Health Sciences Building (AHSB) to provide an off-site option. This option is not available for research systems.
